As a web hosted solution, the system is designed to be available to users 24 hours a day, 365 days a year (excluding maintenance periods). We have measures in place to ensure the solution remains constantly available and aim to achieve 99.9% availability. Our team are on duty 24 hours a day and are backed up by AWS' datacentre team dedicated to maintaining constant service availability. All of AWS' datacentres are online and serving customers; no datacentre is "cold". In case of failure, automated processes move customer data traffic away from the affected area to another availability zone in the same region. In addition, there are discrete uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and onsite backup generation facilities. AWS' Availability Program and services are subject to audits and certifications according to several global best practices and government standards.
